Monday night is Jeremy's late practice night so he doesn't get home until 7:00. Well, Rylee was in one of her moods and was not being a happy camper nor a good camper. She had to be threatened, talked to and also enjoyed some time standing with her nose against the wall in time out. Finally, Jeremy got home and we were sitting at the table enjoying supper when Rylee decided to join us. She climbed up there and of course started talking. I said, Rylee tell Daddy that you have not been a very nice girl this afternoon and that you had to go to time out." She looked at her Daddy with a very serious look and said, "Daddy, take her down, take Mommy down!" Please do not leave a comment saying we are going to have our hands full when we get older because we already know that.
She also told me she wanted a sandwich. She wanted cheese, bologna, and a top and bottom.

Tucker in his new BRAVES uniform with his Air Jordan shoes, dribbling a NIKE basketball, ran through the tunnel, out onto the floor, and into the BRAVES huddle. Yes, Tucker led the 2010- 2011 boys basketball team onto the court last night in the game versus the North Middle Stars. He had promised the "boys" he would do it and he did! I must admit I was not thrilled that Jeremy was coaching basketball again. Not that I mind being around basketball but knowing Jeremy and his struggle of sometimes juggling, basketball, his family, church, and his assistant principal duties is sometimes a challenge for him. I must say I have loved this basketball season so much. My kids love being in the gym and of course I do too. Jeremy has been blessed with a great group of boys that love my kids and two very supportive assistant coaches.




Rylee Kate on the other hand seems a little confused right now. She so wants to wear a cheer leading uniform and cheer, but then begs to run out with the team. I am trying very hard to let her be who she wants to be, but oh is it ever killing me. Knowing my background you all know that I want a basketball in her hand, but she sure is one cute cheerleader!!! Of course she comes home takes her cheer uniform off and plays ball. Gotta love it!!!

Food, Fun, THANKSGIVING

We celebrated Thanksgiving in style just as we always do. We went to Doc's for a tasty lunch and then got his house ready for Christmas. We had a great time even though half the family was missing. Jeremy and I hosted the Russell family for Thanksgiving. The weather was great so ALL the boys enjoyed playing outside while the three girls played dress-up. We had lots of good food and some much needed fellowship. I am so blessed, to say the least!!!

CHAMPS

Tucker played fall baseball with Lenoir City Parks and Rec. We chose to play up there so he and cousin Zach could be on the same team. We didn't know what to expect and wasn't sure how Tucker would adjust, however, it was the BEST thing we could have done. Not only because we were on the CUBS and got to see the family at least 2 times a week, but Tucker learned so much. His coaches were GREAT and were so patient with the kids. Jeremy and I were very impressed. We look forward to Spring ball next year. Once a Cub always a CUB!!!

One thing I will always remember about this game on the way home I asked Tucker when he knew they won. He said, " I heard people screaming, I looked at the scoreboard and see the 14 change to a 15 and knew we won." He is sometimes too smart for his own good!!!

Fall Break 2010

We took a trip to the Cherokee Indian Village over fall break. I have not been there since I was a kid myself and don't foresee me going back anytime soon. We all had a wonderful time and had perfect weather, but other issues arose. Of course there is only one way to get to Cherokee and that is over the mountain and through the woods (for miles). While traveling we had a few get a little car sick. It was quite an experience. To this day if you ask Tucker if he wants to go back he grabs his tummy and says, "Mom, no you remember I got sick." Bless his heart ! We had to stop in Gatlinburg and pay $5 to stand in the parking lot and let him get some fresh air. He finally got it together enough to get back on the road, but it wasn't long before Jeremy got sick. Not to mention having to stop on the way over because mom got sick. What a trip!!!

We also went to the zoo over Fall Break. It was a GREAT day! Most if not all the animals were out and we even took our picnic lunch.

We spent one day of Fall Break at the Discovery Museum in Chattanooga. The kids had a fun time and we definitely enjoyed the day!!!

Tucker handled the wheelchair thing pretty well. We talked to him and explained to him that some kids can't run and play like he can and that he never needs to take that for granted but to be thankful for his health and abilities.

The other night Tucker was telling us who knew what a verb was. Being the mom/ teacher I asked him what. He said, "A word that shows action." I said great Tucker. He said," You see hop, I can hop so it is a verb." (I am assuming Ms.Williams explained it like I do that if it is something they can do then it is a verb.) Jeremy asked him if read was a verb, "Tucker said read, Can I read? No, then it is not a verb."
Jeremy and I both thought we would die laughing. On a more serious note Tucker is doing great in kindergarten. He is learning many sight words, word families, and is even decoding words, and reading books with many of his sight words in it. He is also doing a good job learning all about touch math. I am SO proud of Tucker and his willingness to want to do well .
