So many memories with this Man

I don't know where to begin... Doc was a great man and the best grandfather in the world! As I told him right before he went to be with the Lord , "Doc, you should have no regrets. You were the best grandfather in the world and you loved us unconditionally." He did! I knew from a very young age that his family was one of the most important things to him and I am so thankful I got to experience that first hand. From the days of riding the bus to his house after school and Nannie having my snack waiting on me, the summer days me and my cousins swam from sun up to sun down, all of our holidays together, the horse back riding, our family vacations,  the day I said, "I Do" at his farm, and all the memories I have of the last days I spent with him in the Nursing Home, Hospital and Assisted Living. I will treasure FOREVER! It is definitely going to be a change in the life of my family. It's going to be a huge adjustment, but I wouldn't bring him back here if I could. He had a wonderful 93+ years on this earth and impacted not only me, Jeremy, and my kids but the entire community.
Doc, Thank you for showing me the importance of family. I have so many childhood and adulthood memories of you that will never be forgotten. Me, Jeremy, Tucker and Katie love you so much and count in an honor to have had the opportunity to have such a tight and constant relationship with you through the years. We already miss you like crazy but know you are in Heaven walking the streets of gold in your new and whole body. We woke up to snow this morning and Katie said, "I bet Doc told Jesus how much me and brother love snow." We love you and will see you again real soon!

James Yost (J.Y.) McNabb, 93, of Loudon, TN, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2015.  J.Y. was the son of the late Samuel and Addie McNabb of the Cave Creek Community.
