Baseball Weekend

Throwin Smoke started their travel ball season in Knoxville last weekend. Tucker really struggled and was down. So on the the way home I explained to him that he is going to have to practice every evening if he is committed to getting better and helping his team. I must say he worked very hard this week and his work paid off. This weekend we played in a tournament in Dalton, Georgia. He hit the ball better than he ever has. His fielding still is not where it needs to be, but outfield is all a new to him so I am trying to be a little more patient. Oh did I mention we went 3-1 this week and brought home some 1st place hardware!!! Go Smoke!

The time has come

The time has come that we must set Peep & Squeak free. They were outgrowing "their home" and to be quite honest me and Jeremy were over the nastiness and the stink. So we set off and took them to the pond near our house. As the kids were a little sad once they seen the ducks swimming and enjoying the pond they were ok with it.

2013 Covenant Kids Run

Last Saturday the kids participated in the Covenant Kids Run. They have stayed after school every Wednesday for the past several weeks preparing for this big day. It was a beautiful day to run and it was extra special that the finish line was on the 50 yard line at Neyland Stadium.

Easter 2013

Easter 2013 was a little busy ,cool and rainy. The annual egg hunt at Nana's and Papaw's on Saturday ended up as a neighborhood football game and Doc's annual egg hunt with all the cousins ended up inside. By the way as long as I can remember I never remember having to move the hunt inside the house, but I guess there is a first for everything. Tucker was so disappointed that it rained and he missed the egg fight. All in all we enjoyed the weekend with friends and family celebrating Jesus Resurrection.
