a hobby, hopefully a business

I have decided to start stamping metal and making necklaces. I am still learning and trying to create unique pieces. I am starting off with the simple initial and names. I have ordered some more stamps like a baseball, dot, and a tiara. I should have pictures to post after this weekend. I am so excited about beginning this and hope it turns into a small business for me. I may share soon what I feel the Lord has laid on my heart to do with the profits from this business. I will be creating a jewelry blog as soon as I come up with a name. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

It is hard to take pictures of these things. They each have my kids names on them, Tucker & Rylee.

These just have a "T" and a "R"

These are the same as the first picture

Luncheon Baby Shower for the Mommy to Be

We had a luncheon this past Saturday at my parents house for my cousin Megan. She is expecting her first child this June. It was a beautiful, windy day but Megan received a lot of nice things. We are SO excited for Baby Will to arrive. We are going to spoil him rotten!!! He has the most wonderful parents in the world who will raise him in a fun, loving, Christian home and for that he is blessed!

Like Gramps, Like Tucker

Tucker is Gramps boy by far! He wants to be wherever Gramps is and doing whatever he is doing. While Gramps was cutting the tree for us, we caught Tucker in the back yard doing the same. This is priceless...

A new toy!!!

Yes! We got a trampoline. The kids grandparents got this for them for both of their birthdays! We are all loving it! Me, Jeremy and the kids are planning a camp out soon on the new trampoline. It is so funny because as most of you know, Rylee can't walk and chew gum at the same time, however, she is quite the jumper. She stays on her feet most of the time. It only took Tucker about 4 days to learn to do a front flip- yes he is like his daddy. I talked to our neighbor the other day and she said , "Emily, I get so much entertainment out of your family on the trampoline. I just stand and watch you all out the window and laugh." I guess we better behave because you never know who is watching...

"Thanks to Gramps, Doo, Daddy, Bobby and Papaw Dickie for helping get our new toy together."
Love,
Tucker and Rylee

We have been busy but....

There is one thing that I am very happy to share with everyone. Jeremy has accepted the calling of deacon. The pastor approached us about a month ago and said that he and the current deacons have been watching Jeremy for a little over a year and seen many qualities in him to be a deacon. They have all prayed about it and Jeremy and I spent time praying about it and truly feel this is what the Lord would have Jeremy do. The church voted him in last night and we are still trying to come up with a date for his ordination service. Please be in prayer for him (us). We all know how Satan likes to interfere when God is working.

Did I mention how proud I am of Jeremy and his courage to accept this special calling. It is such a blessing to have a Godly husband. One I know will be going with his family to church, modeling Bible study in front of our children, the respectfulness and faithfulness he has to me, a daddy who prays with his children at night or just when they ask him to pray with them, but most importantly his obedience to God. I am SO blessed!
By the way mom , you always thought I would marry a preacher, but I think this is as close as you will get.

Spring Break

We had a great Spring Break. Spending time with family. We first went fishing and then to the Wilderness. I ended Spring Break by attending the Joyce Meyer conference with my mom, Aunt Connie, Megan, Aunt Gail and Marci. We had such a wonderful time visiting and catching up without children. Marci came in from New Orleans to go with us and we were so glad to spend some time with her.

The Wilderness

I am so glad I had the opportunity to catch all these memories for you (because that waster was freezing!)

FISHING

This is Rylee after about 10 minutes of fishing. However, she did not do this long either. I failed to get a picture of her, but she would have rather played in the worms than do anything at all.

Tucker caught 12 fish! He would say, "Daddy I set the hook!" He would reel one in as soon as he casted it out. I would sneak and throw mine in his spot while he was getting the fish off, but I didn't have as much luck as him. He seems to think it was his hook.

Rylee did reel one in!

Easter Festivities

Tucker at his egg hunt at school! They also got a visit from the Easter Bunny, but since the same bunny was going to be at our church egg hunt on Sunday we decided to let the other kids enjoy his visit!!!

On the starting line...

And he's off!!!
Our next stop was at Doo and Gramps church egg hunt. We had a great time!

On your mark, get set, GO

And she's off

Tucker is looking for the prize egg
He found it! It was a $25 gift card to Wal-Mart and he had to have the cd- "Big Green Tractor"
We decided since Easter morning is so busy that we would give the kids their Easter gifts on Saturday morning. You got it, Tucker is into cowboys and Rylee loves styling hair!

Our next stop was at our church egg hunt. We had to do it across the street since we are in the process of building a new sanctuary. It turned out great, except for the visit from the Easter Bunny- Rylee couldn't stand him!

and After the Easter Bunny

Tucker and his cousin Brody have became very close over the past few months- They are best of friends.

Dying the eggs. This has always been a tradition since I can remember, dying eggs the night before Easter. Thankfully my parents have continued the same tradition with my two kids.

This is some serious decorating

and Gramps- of course he just thought it was hilarious to but blue dye on Tucker's nose. I think he forgot it doesn't come off easy.

Daddy even took his turn

and on to the gifts from Doo and Gramps. They got their own yard tools and loved them!

Egg hunt at Nana and Papaws
There was a little more competition to find the prize egg, of course they all got a prize!
