Go Diego Go!

Papaw and Grammy took Tucker Sunday evening to pick out a new bike for his birthday. He really wanted a Spiderman one BUT they did not have the right size so he decided Diego would do just fine. Since Sunday we have spent a lot of time watching him ride his bike. His newest trick is standing up and paddling it. He said, "Doo taught me that trick."
Yes, that is Nana with his bicycle helmet on. Believe me with her driving she needs it. HA! Lookin good Nana!
Thanks Grammie and Papaw for the bike and helmet!

Planting a garden and playing with worms...

Last week, I decide I would like the kids to help me plant a garden. Needless to say Jeremy was not interested at all. Gramps came over and tilled us up a very small garden and the kids and I planted some squash, zucchini, cucumbers, onions and tomato plants. Of course I did all the work and they played in the dirt.
They also had a fun time digging for worms while Doo and I planted flowers. Tucker took good care of his worms, but Rylee was constantly saying, "I broke it mommy, I broke it(holding the parts of a worm that she had torn apart.)
Thanks Doo and Gramps for helping out last Friday.

First trip to Tic Tocs- 2009

Before Tic Tocs Ice Cream Parlor

At Tic Tocs

After Tic Tocs

We took the kids to Tic Tocs last week for ice cream. Well, actually Bobby and Wendy treated us. Yes, they went dressed as Rylee would say, "a knight and a princess." I tried to tell her it was Raggedy Ann but to her she was a princess. We stopped to visit with Nana and Papaw for a few minutes on the way home and Nana tried the "princess" wig on. Thanks Bobby and Wendy!

Rylee's bedtime prayer

"Dear Jesus, Forgive me for my sins and help me to do what's right. Put the full armor of God on me and my family. Pray for my mom, dad, Tucker, grandpa and lady."
This has been her prayer the last few nights. We have not figured out who her grandpa or lady is???

Prayer Request

Last night I was notified that my 87 year old grandfather was mowing and the mower flipped over on him. Praise the Lord he was ok, he is just extremely sore today. I received another phone call at 10pm last night form my mom informing me that my nanny on my moms side had fell and broken her hip. I am heading to the hospital as we speak to sit and wait on Nanny to get out of surgery. Please say a prayer for her and her quick recovery.

One more Egg Hunt

We went to an egg hunt at my parents church last Wednesday. The kids had a great time and Tucker won a prize for finding the most eggs in his age group.

Playdate with the boys

Last week we had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours with some of my friends and their kids. Amanda and Marybeth worked with me at Loudon Elementary, but since then they have both deserted me. We had a great time visiting/ gossiping.

Update on kitchen

We are waiting to put up the crown molding, put some trim up along the top of out counter tops and repaint the trim at some point. I am hoping to post some pictures very soon.

Tucker's first tee ball practice

Can you believe it? I did not take my camera. I told Jeremy I was going to try and wait until his first game and I did it! Tucker enjoyed his first practice. He said the best things was, "Being outside."

The tradition continues...

My grandfather's was our last stop this Easter. This is NOT a traditional egg hunt. Well, it begins that way but then turns out VERY ugly! The men hide the eggs for the kids and then the men talk all the kids into sharing their "real" eggs with them. Yes! You guessed it, an egg fight. Tucker was just being a normal kid and hunting eggs and all the sudden an egg flew through the air and just about hit us. Next thing I know he lays his basket down an takes off. I ask him where he is going and he yells, "I am going to have an egg fight!" He enjoyed this more than anything. Later that afternoon Gramps walked him over to the creek and you guessed it, Tucker came back WET! Gramps let him get in and he came back soaked. He spent the rest of the afternoon in his underwear! Another memorable Easter at Docs!

After the egg fight...

Easter Morning

Doo and Gramps came up Sunday morning before we headed to church. Since they attend another church they wanted to make sure they got to see them dressed up. Of course Tucker just knew they were coming to church with him.

Coloring Eggs with Doo

Saturday afternoon we colored Easter eggs at Doo's house. Gramps and daddy missed out on all the fun this year. They were busy at my house tiling my back splash in my kitchen. Sorry you guys missed out on all the fun/ mess!

Easter with Grammy & Papaw

Saturday afternoon we headed to Grammy and Papaw's to have an Easter celebration with Jeremy's brother and his family. Tucker and Rylee of course enjoyed spending time with their cousins and the adults enjoyed themselves also.

Egg Hunt at Church

This past Saturday we had an Egg hunt at church. The kids had a wonderful time. As you have probably already notice, Rylee is not in the picture with the Easter Bunny. She does not like him unless I am holding her.

I hope my kitchen turns out ok. :(

Here is a picture of my dad laying the tile for our back splash. Jeremy is helping but I could not get a picture of him. I love the tile, however, I am not so sure it is going to look good with my counter tops. I am afraid the lady forgot the tile we picked out and gave us the darker tile. As of now it is being laid and I will just have to live with it. I am hoping it will look better once I get my kitchen back in order and decorated. It is 10:20 pm and they are still going strong. They are trying to get it done and grout it tomorrow and then my kitchen will be 90% finished. I cannot wait to post the final pictures.
Thanks dad and Jeremy for all your hard work.
