Christmas Play 2011

This year's Christmas play was short and sweet. It was sweet because I think this is the first time in a long time that we have just done the birth of Jesus. My kids now have a clear meaning of how the birth all took place. During the Christmas parade this year a manger scene came by and Rylee said, "Mom, there is Mary and Joseph." As a mom I so love buying presents for my kids, but the most important we try to teach them is that Jesus is the true reason for this season. He was born one December 25th and that is why we celebrate CHRISTmas!!!

Game Night

We had game night last night. We got a new Wii game, Just Dance and the kids loved it. Grammie and Papaw stopped by for some free entertainment.

Class Parties 2011

The kids had their Christmas parties at school this past Friday. They had a fun time and enjoyed the snacks and gifts, but more importantly enjoyed getting out of school at lunch.

I am so proud of my girl

At age 4 Rylee can tie her shoes and write her full name. In her words, "I am a geen-i-us."

2 + 1= 3

They love Roscoe so much. He is such a wild puppy that he often won't calm down enough to lay with them, but this night he did.

"This is not for me. I better go back to cheerleading"

These were Rylee's exact words have her first basketball practice last week. She actually got me a little excited because before practice as we were leaving she said, "Mom I have my shooting on, got my defense on, I am ready for this game." I was fired up! But after practice she made the following statement " This is not for me. I better go back to cheer leading", I quickly realized I may have a cheerleader on my hands after all.

Elvsie has returned!

Our Elf on the shelf, Elvsie has made his return. Most nights he is cool, calm, and collective and flies to a new spot, but sometimes he gets a little mischievous and lands in some odd places and does some unique things.

Elvsie took Tucker's toothbrush and accidentally got more paste on him.

Then he lands in the fridge and tried to make him some chocolate milk

He rolled our small Christmas tree

He landed on our dining room table center piece with a paint sponge in hand and...

the kids woke up looking like this.

2011 Christmas Parade

We enjoyed the Christmas Parade again this year with our family and friends. It was actually the best parade we have had in a while.

These horses were beautiful.

5 years... REALLY?

As I get prepared to walk down to the Christmas Parade I can't seem to help but remember the parade 5 years ago. I cannot believe that December 9th marks 5 years that I headed to the hospital and had NO clue what was in store for me. Well, forty- two nights I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. He sure knew what He was doing when he blessed me with her.

Ready and Waiting

Tucker put his tooth in his toothfairy pillow

Held it tight

Placed it in just the right place

And went to sleep

All I Want For Christmas Is....

A Front Tooth!

Tucker finally list his first tooth tonight. Well, he didn't actually lose it. Ms. Wanda at church found out he had a really loose tooth so she pulled it! As we were walking home he got sick. By the time we went to the sink to rinse his mouth out he broke out in sweats and he said his legs were shaky. I think the anxiety got the best of him and he almost passed out. Poor little guy. I must say he was one brave little boy and is still very proud of his missing tooth!

Fantasy of Trees

We went to Fantasy of the Trees tonight for the first time. Like I mentioned in a previous post Jeremy was sick so he spent the majority of his Thanksgiving Break in the bed. We missed him being with us but we had a good time without him.

More memories were made...

Our newest addition:

I swore I would never get another dog much less let one come in my house. Oh well the things you do for your kids... Tucker has begged for a dog for over a year now and we finally decided to get him a beagle. I wanted a puppy so Tucker could watch him grow up. The puppy is Tucker's responsibility for the most part but of course Jeremy and I help a lot too. Rylee not so much. She is like her mother, she loves him but don't really want to mess with him.

Preparing a pen for the puppy. I must say he got out of this pen in no time.

This was before he started biting

We went looking for the puppy and this is where we found him. This dog loves Tucker. If he gets up before Tucker in the mornings he stands at bottom of steps until Tucker gets up and comes down stairs.

This is when he liked her...

They dressed up as hunters with puppy in hand and went to Doo and Gramp's for FUN FRIDAY!
