Not much to update on...

We have had a busy week, NOT! We returned home from our camping trip Monday afternoon. We have enjoyed our first week off from school. We have all slept in until at least 8:30. Rylee has not been getting up until about 9:30. We got home from camping on Monday and then went over to the Richesin's for a cook out. We then went over to visit the in-laws and check on Eddie. He has a kidney stone and had surgery this afternoon.
Tuesday evening Jeremy and I had to go to a funeral. Jeremy's uncle passed away after receiving a staff infection from the hospital.
Wednesday evening, the kids headed to Zach's 4th birthday party. Jeremy and I were not able to go since we already had tickets to take the junior high youth from church to a Smokies game. The kids had a GREAT time swimming, even Uncle Sas. You see Sas, Connie and Megan had to take the kids since we were not able to go. To make it short after Megan told Rylee several times not to go any further because her floaties were not on, she did it anyway. Sas was right there to save the day. Clothes, shoes, cell phone and ALL! Thanks Sas for saving my daughter's life and thanks for taking the kids!
Yesterday, the kids and I ran around Knoxville all day and last night we went to Gramps and Doo's for supper and a short visit. Of course I came home 1 child less.
Our Friday has been spent cleaning and playing. We are getting ready now to go out to eat with my grandfather.
We are looking forward to a fun weekend, hopefully with swimming in the plans! Also, did I mention Summer School is in full swing. I am taking 9 hours and so is Jeremy. My goal is to have ALL my work completed by the time we go to the beach in July!

As we were sitting on the porch yesterday afternoon, Rylee climbed up on my lap. She was hugging and kissing me all over. She all of the sudden noticed freckles on my arms and she said, "Mom, you have polka dots on your arm." I just thought that was too cute not to share!

Going to Heaven???

Tonight Tucker and I were looking at Kayleigh's blog and it was showing a video they shared at her memorial service. He began asking questions about how we will get there and when will we go and stuff like that. I explained to him all I could. He said, "Can we go now. I really want to go up high." I said, "Well when you go to Heaven you don't come back." He said, "Oh I will come back when i get tired of it." I continued to explain to him that is not how it works. He busted out into tears screaming, "I do not want to go to Heaven!" I said, "Tucker we are not going today." He said, "I don't want to go another day either." I thought it was cute and I can understand his timidness. His dad and I talked to him and got him calmed down enough to go to bed.

Look what the Mailman left...

Today was bitter sweet. Of course we already knew we had completed all requirements for our Masters Degree, but receiving the diploma makes it much more real. We did it!! Only 27 credit hours to go until we will be finished with our EDS. YEAH!!!

Can you believe it???

For those of you that know Rylee is NOT a daddy's girl. She is all about her mommy, but look what I caught on camera the other night. A little nosy, nosy and a big kiss after they got married. Yes, married, Rylee like to pretend she marries her daddy. They switch rings, kiss and then have a daddy/ daughter dance together with a big dip at the end. Jeremy LOVES these moments and so do I because I get a break from her!

Tucker's First T-Ball Game

These are just a few pictures of Tucker before his first t-ball game. Jeremy could not take any pictures during his game because he was videoing and I was on the field helping. His coach asked him if he liked his uniform and Tucker said,"Well, I actually don't like orange." Someone also asked him if he was the Panthers and he said, "See that is the Problem!"

Finally the sun is back...

An afternoon outside after all the rain!

4 year check up

Tucker went for his 4 year check up today. He weighed in at a whopping 31.2 pounds and was 38 3/4 inches tall. He is on the small side but Dr.Rob said, "This is normal for kids this age." Of course we all know Tucker is not the best eater. He got 100 % on his hearing and eye test.
Dr. Rob was impressed that Tucker could write his name and could skip and hop on one foot. Dr. Rob told us, " You have a super kid!" Of course we think so too, but I am pretty sure he tells everyone this. LOL Tucker then had to get the 3 dreaded shots. OUCH! I felt so sorry for him. I wanted to cry. I told him as the doctor was leaving the room that he had to get shots and he started crying and saying, "Mommy I don't want a shot." I explained to him these shots could keep him from getting a disease that could cause him to get sick or even die. He cried while he got the shots but stopped immediately after she was finished sticking him. We then hurried home to get to his 2nd t-ball game.

Thanks Doo, Gramps, Doc, Christi, Ellie and Rylee for watching his first game. Grammie and Papaw could not make it but were there to cheer him on tonight. Also, thanks to Uncle Kent, Jennifer and Jess for your cheers tonight.

Finally...

Jeremy and I have officially completed all requirements for our Masters Degree. We are actually suppose to graduate Saturday, however, we were not interested in walking so we just requested them mail us our diplomas. It really has not been that bad. It has taken us less than 2 years and most importantly we have got to take ALL our classes online. Which means I have not had to leave my kids to go to class and that is the most important thing.

Happy Birthday To You...

Tucker, I cannot believe that we are celebrating your fourth birthday. It seems like only yesterday I was running outside to tell your dad I was pregnant. It seems like only yesterday I was running out of my classroom because I was so sick. It seems like only yesterday that I called my 1st grade class to tell them on speaker phone that I was having a boy. It seems like only yesterday that I was in labor but did not want to go to the hospital because I was afraid they would send me home. Here it is May 6, 2009 and you are turning 4 and I cannot believe it! I have enjoyed you more than you will ever know. You have such a GREAT personality and you are such a fun kid to be around. You are such a good big brother to Rylee, most of the time. I love everything about you, things like…
Your obsession with the “Redskins”
Your love for superheroes
Your love for the outdoors
Your love for helping Gramps build and work on things
Your love for your family
Your willingness to take teasing
Your kindness you show to others
Your wanting to be at “home” at night
BUT MOST OF ALL
Your knowledge about Jesus and what he did for you

Tucker, I pray that God will go ahead and set aside the day- the day you will ask him to come into your heart and live forever. As you start pre-school, I pray that you will be a good little boy who ALWAYS treats others the way you would want to be treated, always tell the truth- even though it may hurt, and to love others. Always remember you are SPECIAL and you will always be MOMMY’S BOY! Happy 4th Birthday!

Our Superhero's Birthday Party

" OUR SUPERHERO"

The cake was great! As you can see the top was Superman (Tuckerman) and the sides were each done in a different superhero logo, Batman, Superman, Hulk and the Power Rangers. Tucker loved his cake!

My cousins and Friends...
Tucker had a lot of family and friends at his birthday! Thanks to everyone who came!

And the presents...
Tucker got a lot of GREAT gifts! He received several Spiderman toys, a game, a batting helmet with his name airbrushed on it, outside toys, clothes, fishing rod, bicycle, Narnia castle, walkie talkies, rugby ball, bat bag tooth fairy pillow, Redskin basket, underwear,Teeter ball for outside and MONEY!!! Thanks for all the presents.
Tucker loves to get his face painted so we had face painting at his party. After it was all said and done we had Spiderman's, Hello kitties, princesses, baseballs, Iron Man, butterflies and even zebras! They were way too cute!

"Down by the Creek Bank"

Tonight the children at church presented "Down by the Creek Bank." We have been practicing for this musical for about 2 months and tonight was the night. The kids did a wonderful job. Tucker and Rylee Kate both were a little tired because Tucker's birthday party was before the musical. All in all they both did good. We were very proud of them.
Rylee did say, "hello" when there was not suppose to be an echo. If that is the only thing she did we are doing good.

Change in Birthday Plans

Tucker's Birthday Party has been changed to LES gym.

Look Out Pre-K, Tucker is on his way!

We registered Tucker for pre-k yesterday morning at my school. We are very confident in this decision and feel it is the best thing for him. We expect him to have a rough start. He will not want to leave his "Doo". Of course I do not blame him, I mean who would want to give up McDonald's breakfast for cereal . Yes, my mom has brought him McDonald's pancakes and biscuit and gravy EVERY morning for the past 2 years. Before that it was homemade. Tucker has had a seperation issue since I was hospitalized while pregnant with Rylee so I know this transition is not going to be a breeze. Like I said before we both want him to go to pre-k and expect it to take some time for him to adjust.
Mom on the other hand is excited about him going but sad that he will be leaving her for most of the day. She has kept him since he was 3 months old so this will also be a hard transition for her also. She will be picking him up at school at 1:30 each day(I bet she will be the one that gets there an hour early waiting on him. LOL) However, she is looking forward to some one-on-one time with Rylee Kate.
