Writing on the "girls" bathroom walls

We have a small problem every year at school. Can you guess what it is? You guessed it! The girls and Tucker. I must admit, he definitely gets this from his Dad! Actually, he doesn't show as much interest in the girls as they do him. However, I got word that there was writing on the bathroom wall.

Her First, My First....

Our first go around at a cheer competition is now in the books. She will probably never forget this weekend as long as she lives. She woke up Saturday morning sick as a dog! In saying that we had to miss Saturday's competition, but did attend on Sunday. She had a wonderful time, did a great job and that makes for one happy Mommy! They finished 11/12, but in the words of Rylee, "At least we placed." HA!

Redskins, Redskins, GO BIG RED!!!

I guess I will rewind to late July or early August when Jeremy came home and said he needed to talk to me. He explained that the Loudon defensive coach has resigned last minute and football practice started in 2 days. Jeff had approached him about coming back to coach for a year and Jeremy wanted my thoughts. I already knew my answer was yes, you have to help him out, however I also knew what this meant for me.... Me being a single mother 7 days a week for at least 10 weeks but he did what he had to do and that was to help a friend out. Fast forward 10 weeks... We are now past the single mother 10 week thing and headed into week 11 of season and round 1 of playoffs, we won, Week 12 of season and round 2 of playoffs, we won. Do you get the picture? Yes, We went all the way to round 4 and lost to Fulton in the state semi final game. Whew! It is over, I am exhausted but so glad Jeremy and the LHS football team had a successful year! Oh and did I mention I had decided last Spring to coach FLMS girls basketball team.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner... On November 30th we read our Elf on the Shelf Book and welcomed Elvsie back the following morning. We are looking forward to being out of school and enjoying some time as a family.

A day of giving Thanks

It would be very easy to complain this Thanksgiving, complain that all our family isn't able to be with us, complain because Doc is in the nursing home or because Tucker is in the bed sick, but instead we will give Thanks. We will thank God for the family that was able to join us, that Tucker is only in bed fighting some viral something going on and nothing major, thankful we have had Doc with us the past 93 years even though he is a little under the weather this year, and for all the blessings He has given us. I am so thankful for everything He has given my family!
