Getting ready for Christmas!

We spent Friday evening getting the house ready for Christmas. We did not get it all finished, but we got our Christmas tree put up in the dining room and Tucker and Rylee decorated theirs in their room. Somehow Rylee only managed to break one ornament!

I've been tagged

I was tagged my MaryBeth to go to my 4th picture file and post the 4th picture and describe it.

This is a picture of Rylee when we went camping this past June. She is playing in the creek. These are her first pig tails. I think she is trying to catch a fish.

Our Little Baby

I caught Rylee sitting in a babies high chair at my parents house last night. She is so rotten!

Tucker's First Gun

No, it is not a real gun just a bb gun. Tucker actually found one of my brothers old guns in a closet a few weeks ago. Gramps promised him he would get him some bb's. However, the gun was a little aged and did not work anymore. Gramps knew we were coming down last night so he made a quick trip to Wal-Mart to get Tucker his own bb gun. Tucker got to shoot it and loved it. For those of you who know Jeremy know he does not enjoy hunting much less know how to work a gun. Well, Tucker LOVES guns and all he talks about is hunting. He even watches hunting videos at night and wears camouflage clothes. It is hilarious to think Jeremy has such a redneck son. Of course, Gramps is loving it! Gramps did have a safety class with Tucker last night. Tucker learned about the safety, to only point the gun at a target, never use the gun without an adult, and to ALWAYS keep the gun locked in a safe place. By the way Tucker spent the night with Doo and Gramps last night. Guess what they slept with? Yes, the bb gun!

My Birthday Dinner

On Tuesday night my mom had my birthday dinner. My brother couldn't make it so it was just us. We had my favorite dinner, steak and grilled shrimp. YUMMY! I then got to enjoy my favorite cake with my 2 most favorite people, Tucker and Rylee Kate. I had a GREAT birthday. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Tomorrow is a Very Important Day

As everyone knows, tomorrow is Veteran's Day. Since we are out of school tomorrow, our school had a celebration today and we invited a veteran from each of the branches to the school for a very special celebration. It was a very special moment, considering my grandfather is a veteran of the Army. Doc was attending Hiwassee College on football scholarship when he went home for a weekend visit and received a letter to report to Oglethorpe, Georgia to prepare for war. He served from 1942- 1946 in the United States Army and fought in WWII. Please take a few minutes today and everyday and thank God for the men and women that are serving and have served for our country's freedom.

It's My Birthday

Today I celebrate my 32nd birthday. Well, actually I am celebrating it tomorrow night . My mom is cooking my favorite dinner for me tomorrow night and I can't wait. Lastnight, Jeremy had told me NOT to come in the kitchen. In a little bit I needed in the kitchen to throw something away. Tucker held his hands out and said,"No Mommy, you can't come in here. I said please and he said ok BUT don't look at your card we are making you." Jeremy and I just looked at each other and smiled. I do want to share with you an e-mail I received from my dad this morning. He is a very special person. Be prepared it is a tear jerker...

Dear Sis,
It was thirty- two years ago today that I was holding you for the first time. Now I can only remember those times we spent togehter while you were growing up. I remember the times we spent together shooting basketball and traveling to all your basketball games. I remember hooping and hollering for you and you would just give me that look. AS I look at Rylee I see a lot of you in her. She has the same determination that you did, to be the best that you could be. I thank God for you and Jeremy and the way that you two are raising your kids. You will always be my little girl.
Love,
Dad

I will always be a "Daddy's Girl"

Wee Patch

The kids had their first Wee Patch performance tonight. This class takes place on Wednesday evenings. They sing, learn memory verses, and hear a Bible story. The kids love going to Wee Patch and being with their friends. Although only five are pictured, they really have seven in their class. Tonight they got to perform what all they have learned the past 12 weeks. They sang 3 songs and both said their Bible verses. "Thanks Grammie, Doo, Gramps, and Doc for coming to watch us."

Rylee Kate hung it up during the last song. She moved to the choir chairs.

Halloween

We had a fun filled Halloween night. We enjoyed visiting with Grandmommy(Jeremy's grandmother) and MiMi and Pappy (Jeremy's aunt and uncle). We went trick or treating with cousin Ellie and friends Gracie and Wiley. We had a wonderful time! We then headed back to the house and finished handing out the remaining 25 bags of candy.
My most memorable thing about this night was Tucker's costumes. Yes, he was a green power ranger, red power ranger, knight, policeman, and a football player all in one night. A special thanks to all our friends and family for making this night so special.
