Kitchen Update!

Well, the kitchen finally made some progress today. Dad and Jeremy got all the knobs and hinges put on the cabinet doors, ripped up the flooring and laid the board down so dad can tile next week.
My tile should be here Tuesday and I am going to get my uncle in here to paint. I am so excited to see what the finished project will look like. Thanks dad and Jeremy for all your hard work today.
Dad also worked ALL day Friday in the rain and put up 34 shutters, lowered the basketball goal for Tucker and cut down the old post off the back steps that lead down to our patio. I can't wait until he gets the new rod iron up. None the less our house is getting a much needed face lift and it is looking good!

Kitchen in Progress...

As most of you know we live in an older home in Loudon. It was actually built in 1922. It is a beautiful home, it is just in need of a few makeovers. We have pretty much updated the entire house except the kitchen. We have been wanting to redo our kitchen for a while now, but really didn't have the extra money. Well, we still don't so we are redoing it just enough so it will be presentable. We are going to make do with our cabinets and redo everything else. We had new countertops put in today and will soon begin tearing out the flooring and painting. We have bought a stainless steel stove and dishwasher and will probably order a fridge in the next few weeks.
These are the BEFORE PICS and I will post the AFTERS as soon as it is completed!

Sleepover!

Tucker enjoyed having his cousin, Jayse, over to spend the night. Here are a few pictures of the sleepover

This is a "fort" Jeremy and I made for them to sleep in. Of course Rylee wanted to sleep with them but we convinced her to sleep in her Mickey Mouse tent.

"Look What All I Have Learned"

Mom and I have been working with Tucker for the past several weeks on writing his name. He has known for 2 years how to spell it, but he now can write his entire name all by himself without any help. Mom is also working with him on recognizing his letters, which he can recognize about half of the alphabet and some of their sounds.
Jeremy and I took a little time this weekend to teach him his complete address. He is very proud of himself and so are we!

Funny Pictures...

I am glad she had panties on!

Rylee takes after her Gramps!

We really do have a bathroom in our house!

Tucker was sitting there so still and I told him to smile and this is what he did.
I just thought these were cute pictures to post.

It's March!

Yesterday we had a fun day outside flying kites, playing with the parachute, but most of the afternoon was spent playing basketball. Tucker is really into playing basketball with his daddy and drinking red powerade (for the Redskins). He has also learned how to climb the tree in our front yard and practiced going up and down all day today.
We are really loving this warm weather!

Dora, Live On Stage!

Rylee and I had a wonderful time at Dora Live On Stage last week with Courtney and Gracie.
I am so glad that we took the girls. They had a fun time!

Happy Birthday Gramps!

This upcoming Wednesday, my dad (Gramps) will be celebrating his birthday. We all have such a busy week we decided to celebrate with family Saturday night. We had a wonderful supper and a fun time! Tucker picked Gramps out a camoflauge license plate for his truck and I am sure he will put it on it.

My dad is the MOST amazing dad in the world. He has given up so much for me and my family and I could never thank him enough. My dad has always taught me right fom wrong and has loved me no matter what, but most importantly he has always showed me "Jesus". Now that I am a parent and LOVE my sleep, I often think of the nights he spent traveling out of state to watch me play basketball in college. The nights when he and mom did not get back home until 2 or 3AM and he would be up at 5AM going to work. I told you he was AMAZING! I thank God every night for giving me to a dad like he did. You may be wondering what are his faults. Well, ask Jeremy- he does not have any! HA!
Last, he is not only such an amazing dad but such a wonderful "Gramps." He loves wrestle time, camping, rocking the kids, trips to the beach and even wiping the kids (when he has to). He is always doing whatever the kids want. He is such a great role model for Tucker and of course Tucker thinks he hung the moon (he thinks just like his mom). We are SO thankful to have my dad. He is always there for us whenever we need him. Most importantly Jeremy and I know that he is a praying father, who prays for us and our family daily.
Thanks dad for all you do, you are the BEST!

Weekend Getaway!

This past weekend our Sunday School class and their families was suppose to go snow tubing in Gatlinburg. However, the weather changed our plans. So instead we spent a lot of time swimming and enjoyed the afternoon at "The Upside Down House", as Tucker says, otherwise known as Wonderworks. We had a fun time!
