Dancing, Hoping and Praying!

As I am sure every teacher now knows they have called off the BIG snow for next week. I was so excited that we might get a good snow. I still plan to do a snow dance with the kids, hope for snow, and PRAY for SNOW!

We can't Believe IT!

Jeremy and I were in the living room talking and Tucker runs in here and says, "She pee peed in the potty, Rylee really did." I said Tucker did she really? "Yes, I heard it!" Jeremy went in to check and she had got on the big potty and did it all by herself! We are really proud of her. Tucker said,"she can play with any of my toys today." He was so proud of her!

BedHead

This morning Rylee was yelling for me to come and bring her down the steps. As I carried her down the steps, I noticed her hair. WOW! I showed Rylee herself in the mirror and she started laughing. I have never seen anything like this!

Rylee's 2 year check up

Rylee went for her two year check-up. She was not a happy camper to say the least. She was AWFUL until they pricked her finger and she was GREAT, imagine that. She weighed in at 23lbs 11oz and was 34 1/2 inches tall. She is in the 30% in weight and 75% in height. Dr. Rob said, "There is nothing wrong with being tall and thin." We are very blessed to have such a healthy child.

Potty Training

About 2 weeks ago we decided Rylee better be ready to potty train, of course it was right after I had bought a HUGE box of diapers. Anyway, she is doing wonderful. She tells you some of the time she needs to pee pee but will almost always hold it until you ask her. For pooping I was getting a little worried until tonight and Rylee told my mother in law that she needed to stinky. She went to the potty and did it. We gave her a new baby doll like we had promised and we are all happy! I am very proud of her and Tucker for being such a supportive big brother.

Funny...

On the way to gymnastics tonight Tucker looked out the window and after seeing all the bird poop on it said, "Mom we need to take this van to the washing machine." Mom and I cracked up!

SNOW!

It finally snowed! Of course it was melting quickly. We actually got more than this after we came inside. Rylee was watching the snow out the window. When Tucker came home later that afternoon we ventured out. We had a fun time running in the snow and throwing snowballs at Daddy. Tucker and Rylee enjoyed riding their Arctic Cat in the snow. They want to go out this morning and build a snowman. It's very cold so we will have to wait and see.

More Gymnastics

As you can see Tucker and Rylee Kate LOVE gymnastics.

Sleepy Heads

After putting the kids to bed the other night, I slipped in and took a cute picture. Rylee Kate was actually put to bed without the pillows. She took it upon herself to get the pillows and stack them all around her. As you can see Tucker is fast asleep..... Zzzz....

Rylee's 2nd Birthday Party

Happy 2nd Birthday Rylee Kate!

Just a little note for Rylee:
Rylee,
On your 2nd birthday your dad and I want to wish a very Happy Birthday! We hope you had a wonderful day and an even better day tomorrow when we celebrate with friends and family. We want you to know that you are a very special little girl whom we continue to love more and more each day. You have brought so much to our family and we cannot imagine life without you. We talked today on the way home from our marriage retreat about what a rough time you and I had getting you here and how concerned we were about your delivery. We always knew that God was in control and he would take care of both of us no matter what. He Did! We have a beautiful and healthy little girl who has brought so much to our family. Rylee Kate your dad and I pray for you daily. We pray first and foremost for your salvation, that He will go ahead and set aside a day aside that you will receive him as your Savior, we pray that you will always be kind to others, seek His will, and grow up to be a loving, Christian young lady. You are the most special little girl in our lives and we thank Him for giving you to us. We love you and hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Love,
Mom and Dad

More Birthday Pictures to come tomorrow, Stay Tuned............

HUGE MILESTONE...

As most of you already know a little over 2 years ago Tucker's world was turned upside down for about 6 weeks. He had always went to his bed on his on and was a good sleeper. However, when I was in the hospital and Tucker stayed with mom and dad he started sleeping with them. Of course at that time it was not a big deal. We wanted whatever was best for him. The night we came home he slept with us, but neither of us slept so we began letting him fall asleep on the couch and then we carried him up to his bed and all was well. Jeremy and I both agreed he had already been traumatized and we allowed him to go to sleep wherever he was comfortable.
Since we ordered the bunk beds I reminded him that he will have to start going to sleep in his own bed for several reasons. Last night, he cried telling me something was in his closet. I prayed with him and we asked Jesus to help him not be scared and to sleep good. I laid with him for about 10 minutes and then came to bed myself. He must have fell fast asleep soon afterwards. Tonight, his dad put him to bed and prayed with him and he did not even whimper! We are so proud of him!

Lamps, Bedding, Bunkbeds, OH MY!

Tucker asked a few weeks ago for bunk beds. Considering he was sleeping on a $5 bed we had originally bought for Carmelo I decided to try and find him some. He had a sports theme in his room and now we have went more towards the camping theme. We got the quilts at Target but have not been able to find any pictures or curtains yet.
Rylee's room is 90% from her nursery. We turned her crib into a full size bed and used the rest of her nursery furniture. It actually looks really cute! Courtney is going to paint her name or something to hang on her wall for her birthday and then her room will be complete.

Who would have ever thought???

Leave it to my child to do something extremely silly and get hurt. I must say she is just like her daddy (I hope he doesn't read this.) We got the kids new lamps for their rooms and we plugged them in for just a minute for them to see. We had them sitting on the floor. Mom ran to the kitchen to turn the oven on and then heard a SCREAM! Rylee had decided to kiss the light bulb in her lamp. We have proof to show for it!

Potty Training

Last Friday, Jeremy and I decided we were going to try and start potty training Rylee. Whoever said, "Girls are easier, has lost their minds." Tucker was definitely easier, of course he used it more outside than inside. Rylee has actually done very well. It started off rough, she would only go if we ask her, but by Sunday night she would ask some and then Monday was even better. Now we are experiencing about 1 accident a day. She still has to be reminded to use the potty but she now holds it until we ask her. She even wakes up with a dry diaper in the morning. She is doing very well! Sorry no pics!

Gymnastics

On Tuesday night we started Tucker and Rylee in gymnastics. Tucker has been out of it for a year now and since Rylee was going to take he wanted to also. Tucker has always done great listening, following directions, and staying in line. On the way there Jeremy said, "What will you do when they kick Rylee out?" You see, Rylee is not quite as good of listener, direction follower, etc. as Tucker. Needless to say she did WONDERFUL! She listened, followed directions and did exactly what she was asked to do. We were very proud of her. Of course Ms. Jessica is great with them!

Rylee as a Cop!

Rylee came and grabbed me and began singing, "Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Watcha Gonna Do, Watcha gonna do when they come for you." I had to take a picture of this memorable moment. I bet this
makes her Uncle Kent proud!

Sleepy Time with Tucker

For those of you who do not know, we live in an old house that is not insulated very well. We leave our heat set low because we would not be able to pay the utility bill if we didn't. I knew we kept it cool but I was not aware it was this COLD! Before Tucker went to sleep he asked for his, "gloves and ear muffins."

New Year's 2009

We spent New Year's at Doc's. We had a fun night of playing games and of course the Wii. We watched the ball drop and Me, Jeremy, Kevin and Megan stayed up with Doc and listened to his stories from WWII. We finally got in bed about 2AM and got up about 8AM for breakfast and a late lunch. Thanks for all the memories we made this New Year, Doc!

I almost made it... Can you tell she is spoiled???

Thanks, Kevin for the party poppers!

Fun with Zach and Alex New Year's Day!
