Weekend Getaway- Just the TWO of Us

Jeremy and I have been saying we need to take a short weekend trip for yeeeaaaars now, but just never take the time.  So we decided to travel to Georgia and spend a couple nights with each other and do something neither of us have ever done. We went zip lining and had a BLAST! It was one of the funnest things I've ever done and can't wait to take the kids back and enjoy it with them. Our first stop was Rome, Georgia where we had lunch and walked around the little town. Then we headed on over to Fairfield Plantation Resort to check in to our little lake front studio apartment and by this time we both were already wishing the kids were with us. We walked around the resort some, sat out in the yard by the lake and then headed to town for dinner. We spent the remainder of the evening over at the on site Marina (walking distance)  just sitting around and listening to live music. The next morning we had breakfast in our room then headed to zip line. I must admit I was pretty nervous after seeing how high up I was going to be.  However, Jeremy made me jump off the first 65ft. tower I was fine and loved every minute of it and ended up upgrading and doing level 2 as well.  We headed to town and had dinner and finished our evening at the Marina again listening to live music. So thankful for this time together (even though we did miss the kids).

Fall Break 2018

This Fall Break was a little different.. Jeremy and the kids were on break a different week than me so I took a day to make a long weekend with a few different stops...

STOP #1- Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

STOP #2 Kings Island-
All I will say is Jeremy and RK was in heaven riding all of the coasters. Dad trash talked RK about being too chicken to ride but it turns out he rode one and then got sick as a dog and didn't get to ride anymore. KARMA
Tuck and myself rode a few rides and enjoyed lots of snack and drinks. Doosie just followed us around and spent sometime people watching.

STOP #3- The Ark Encounter
This was an unexpected stop, but one we are thankful we did. Sas and Connie joined us on this stop.
