Tubing & Putt Putt

A few weeks ago our Sunday School class and their families headed to Gatlinburg for a night of swimming, playing cards and having fun! The next morning we headed up to Ober Gatlinburg for some tubing. The weather was unusually warm. I mean we did not even have to wear gloves or coats tubing. My pregnant photographer only got 2 good pictures! So enjoy looking at the 2 she got. Afterwards, we went out for lunch and then me, Megan, Kevin and Jeremy took the kids to play putt putt. Of course on the way home we had to stop at Tucker's favorite store, The Bass Pro Shop. We had such a good weekend!!!

Rylee Kate's prayers

Rylee was saying her prayers tonight and she first began praying that Jesus would make her Doo taller so she could throw her(Rylee) up high and catch her. Well, during the prayer she got mad at me and wanted to start over. Her new prayer was short and sweet. "Dear Jesus, Thank you for my friends and all my family. I love you Jesus and goodnight."

Tucker's first

Tucker woke up Friday night around midnight complaining of his ear. We gave him some Tylenol and then we never heard another word. I decided around noon the next day I better walk him down to the pediatricians office to make sure he was ok. He did have an ear infection and was out on his first ever antibiotic. I hated it for him but I am so thankful we made it until he was
4 1/2 years old. He has been one healthy little boy. We got a prescription for some chewable antibiotics and boy have we had a time getting him to take them. After 3 days of fighting with him about taking it, I decided that I was just taking him to the doctor to get a shot. I took him today and it was awful!!! Of course Jeremy is down in his back and missed this experience. Below are a few phrases Tucker YELLED at me while we were waiting for the nurse to come in and give him his shot.
"Let me out of here!"
"I can walk home by myself"
"Mommy, Why are you doing this to me"
I explained to him it would be ok he said,
"No it won't, I am getting a shot and they hurt"
"I promise I will take my medicine now if you will just get me out of here"

We got the shot, survived and he told us tonight that, "He would choose a shot over medicine any day!"

Rated PG-13

On our way home from Tucker's sports class this was the conversation in the van:
Tucker: Mom, Rylee kicked me.
Rylee: Mom I just kicked him in the n___!
Mom and I about passed out! Of course I did correct her after I finished laughing.

Another Conversation with Me and Rylee:

Rylee: Mom, You are a big, fat chicken
Me: Rylee, I wish you would not say that
Rylee: What mom
Me: I wish you would not use the word fat
Rylee: Why?
Me: Because calling someone fat could hurt their feelings
Rylee: So can I say Big
Me: Yes, Rylee
Rylee: Can I say chicken
Me: Yes, Rylee
Rylee: Ok mom, you are a big chicken!!!
