Slime Time

I participated in a slime time at school for the carnival and we had a little bit of extra slime so.... I decided to let the kids play Duck Dynasty Trivia Slime Time. They had a blast and thankfully it was warm enough to spray them off with a hose before they went into my house. Ha!

Minus 2

Tucker finally lost his top 2 teeth. The first one he lost at Nana's eating biscuit and gravy and the last one he pulled it fell out at bedtime. He looks so cute!

His Promises

The meaning of a rainbow is one we all know. It is a promise from God that, "He will never flood the earth again." Another promise He made was,"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."  On August 12th, 2013 at approximately 7pm the kids spotted this rainbow outside our house. Fast forward to 9:30pm, bedtime devotions, bedtime prayers, my little girl accepted Jesus as her Savior.  I just love seeing His promises be fulfilled.

First day of school 2013-2014

Well it is that time again. Another summer break in the history books and the beginning of the 2013- 2014 school year is here.  I must admit it was a bittersweet day. I am beyond thrilled to be back in the same building as my two kids, but I miss the kids at LES. My heart had been at LES for the past 12 years and to pack up , move and say goodbye was not easy. Needless to say I have had a GREAT start at Steekee and look forward to the rest of the year. Tucker is starting 2nd grade this year and will be in Mrs. Harris's class while Rylee Kate is beginning her 1st grade journey with Mrs. Curtis. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting school year at Steekee Elementary School.
