What an honor

This past Friday night the seniors on the LHS football team were asked to invite a former teacher that has had a positive influence in their life. This was such an honor particularly for me considering I teach elementary school and often the student athletes forget who their elementary school teachers were. Macklyn Russell chose me as his teacher of the night and Jeremy was chosen by Jack Nichols. I taught Macklyn in 1st and 4th grade and Jeremy was Jack's middle school basketball coach, assistant principal at FLMS, football coach, and assistant principal at LHS. Jeremy and I were both honored and thankful for the reminder from God that we are currently right where God wants us to be.

Just Rylee...

As everyone knows Rylee is her Daddy's daughter. The other night I put sent her to bed and she and her Daddy were laying in bed talking and praying and I went in to kiss her good night and noticed she had not picked up her room like I had asked her to do multiple times that night. So I nicely asked her to get up and do what she was asked to do and it went down hill from there. She picked up her dirty clothes and was fussing at me the entire time under her breath and then threw her clothes at me (well she said she was throwing them past me to her mirror). I ducked and then proceeded toward her and spanked her and told her that that was unacceptable behavior. Of course she was screaming crying, but did go clean her messes up and came back and crawled in her bed with her Daddy. After I tucked Tucker in I went and kissed her and told her I loved her and her response was, "Are you sure about that?" I explained to her that I loved her more than anything. She said, "Well why did you whack me?" Of course Jeremy and I could hold it together and since then her Daddy keeps asking her if she has a bruise on her leg where I whacked her. HA! Just Rylee...

More Baseball... Our Life

On the Pontoon

Doosie and Gramps bought a pontoon boat at the end of last summer so this is the first year we have really got to enjoy it and that we did. If there was a weekend or evening we didn't have plans or weren't playing baseball we were out on the pontoon.
