Baseball in Loudon

We played baseball in Loudon this weekend. I did not take any pictures mainly because my camera was still in the camper in Townsend.  We played through 1 rain delay Saturday and won and then after a torrential rainfall the second game on Saturday was cancelled. We got there at 9AM on Sunday morning at 9 to find out the field we were suppose to play on was in no way ready so after an hour and a half delay we finally played our first game on double elimination day. We lost and enjoyed another 2 hour delay and then played three games in a row with the last game being he championship game. We lost 8-0 in the championship game. But did I mention we are a 9u team playing in a fairly competitive 10u tourney?  I was very proud of how well the boys played! Tuck had an ok weekend. He was definitely dragging- coming off a weekend at the campground and playing sick. He laid down an awesome bunt and got to play against some old teammates which he enojyed.

A Camping trip/ Mission Trip we will never forget

We spent a week at Tremont camping this past week. We participated in our church Mission trip and was very blessed. It was quite a bittersweet week. Seeing Will sick and Kevin losing his dad was very hard, well it actually stunk, however, seeing our youth spread the good word that Jesus loves everyone was something I will never forget. Thankful for keeping everyone safe this weekend and for all the seeds that were planted.

KY Baseball

After our Friday night at the Miners game we traveled to Hopkinsville, KY Saturday morning to play in a tourney. The boys were a little tired and it was very hot  and we just didn't play so well.  We went 1-2 but only lost by a run in each game.

Weekend with the Bat family

What a wonderful June weekend we had with our Bat family in Marion, IL. Coach Nate set up a chance for the boys and their families to attend a Minors game (Minor league team Nate played for).  From the minute we arrived we were treated like family.  The boys had the opportunity of practicing on the field, touring the club house, doing batting practice with the team, and getting their names called out to their positions. It was an awesome experience and one I'm certain Tucker will never forget.
