It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like CHRISTmas...

I know it is a little early, however, I couldn't wait any longer to decorate my new house. We are so blessed to be in a new house this year and we thank God for it daily. Merry CHRISTmas from The Lorenz Family

Happy Veteran's Day!

Last week, I was asked by a teacher at school if I had anyone in my family who served in WWII that may still be living. I was proud to tell her that my grandfather did serve in the Army and I was happy to tell her that he is still with us. She asked if he were able to come to the Veteran's Day program on Monday, so after I made a few phone calls it was taken care of. Thanks to my Uncle Peno (Doc's Chauffer)for bringing him to the program at Steekee Elementary to honor our Vets today. Doc is 92 now and can remember everything from WWII. Jeremy and I were fortunate enough a few New Year's Eve's ago to spend the night with the kids at Docs. He shared the days leading up to his drafting and how excited he was that he was given the chance to play college football. He talked about his trip over and everything he seen and experienced during this time. He spoke highly of the friends he met along the way and even about the time when he got shot. I will never forget what he said, "I stuffed my wound and kept fighting. I couldn't leave my buddies." It was a night I will cherish forever.

Thanks Doc for serving and protecting our country. We love you!

A special thanks to our other special family members who served our country and served it well:
Gramps- U.S. Army
Papaw- U.S. Army (Vietnam War)
Uncle Kent- Army
Cousin Chris- Air Force

Just another Saturday in the tree stand...

Love my "Country Kids"!

Happy Halloween 2013!!!

Halloween 2013 was a fun filled night had by all. It was a bittersweet night for me. As we ate and visited at Tammy's before trick or treating began, we took a few pictures of the kids with Nannie. All I kept thinking was this is probably Nannie's last Halloween with us. She may surprise us, but she has became so brittle and sick the last 6 months. In saying that I am so glad we got to spend a little time with her and the rest of the family on Halloween 2013. Check out my little Eskimo and Ray Mysterio (wrestler).

Go Big Orange!

Tucker got to attend his first ever Tennessee football game in October. He, Jeremy, Blake, and Brycen went to the UT vs. Georgia game and what a game it was. Of course it was predicted to be a  major blowout but instead it went into multiple overtimes and we came out on the bottom. In Tucker's words, "Even though we lost Mom, I am so proud of the Vols. I mean they tried their very best." Tucker loved everything about the game except the restrooms and could tell you most of the highlights of the game. As he returned home I asked him what was his favorite part of the game and he replied with, "Well, my favorite offensive play was the reverse and my  favorite defensive play was the blocked punt." He is only 8 years old!!!!
