Your 8th year has been amazing! Your spunky attitude may eventually be the death of me but until it does we will argue often and love even more. The two things that stand out to me in your 8th year is your first cheer competition, your first solo at church, and your new love for basketball!
You have loved cheering since you were little and since I am not the cheer leading type I tried to deter you from cheering, but I finally came to grips that if that was your love and desire then I would support you. So we did just that. We found you a competitive cheer team and you practiced for months, attended your first competition and decided it wasn't what it was cracked up to be. So with much thought and prayer your Dad and I decided to let you withdraw from the team.
A solo, what? Yes, Rylee Kate you love to sing! You wake up singing, go to bed singing, sing in the car, sing in the shower, and pretty much wherever you are. This year you got to sing a solo for the children's Christmas program and you nailed it!!! You have a beautiful voice and I only hope and pray you always use it to glorify God.
My love.... Basketball! I have always dreamed of having a little girl who loves basketball as much as me. Well, I had already come to terms that God played a joke on me and gave me a cheer leader. I was ok with that until you asked me to sign you up for basketball. Of course I signed you up and you have fell in love. You are actually catching on very quickly and loving every minute of it. You went to a Lady Vols game last weekend and came home wanting to be like Isabelle Harris and my heart was overflowing!
Rylee, Kate, whatever God leads you to do or be, please know that your Mommy will support you and believe in you 100%. All I have left to say is here is to year #9
Love,
Mommy
