Happy 19th Birthday, Ry

Happy 19th Birthday, my brave girl —

I want to start by saying how proud I am of you. Watching you grow into the strong, determined woman you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Nineteen is a special year: you’re not a little kid anymore, and you’re not yet bound to any single path — you’re building your own.

You have faced challenges that would have stopped many people, yet you met each one with courage and resolve. You found strength when things were hard, learned from what didn’t go as planned, and kept going. That grit and perseverance are part of what makes you so remarkable.

I know next year will bring a big new challenge — starting nursing school. It’s going to be hard at times: long hours, tough classes, and moments that test your limits. But I want you to remember two things: first, you are more capable than you know; and second, I will be by your side through it all. I’ll be there to cheer you on, to listen when you need to talk, and to help however I can — even if it’s bringing you a coke from Weigel's or a bag of hot chips.

I’m excited for the experiences ahead of you: the lessons, the friendships, the opportunities, and even the unexpected turns that will shape who you become in the years ahead.

On your 19th birthday I wish you confidence in your choices and the courage to chase your dreams. Know that no matter what, I’m here — cheering, supporting, and loving you big!

Tucker & Molly Proposal

Tucker took advantage of Aruba and surprised Molly with a ring. She's felt like ours for a while, but now it is official. Here is to planning a wedding!!!! (Rylee and Drew helped pull off the surprise.)

Christmas in Aruba

Christmas was a big holiday. we knew the first Christmas without dad/ Gramps was going to be hard. Jay and I talked long before and decided we didn't want to be home this Christmas. We wanted to go away and do something different, so we went to Aruba! We had a great time together. We rode banana boats, para sailed, jeep tour, swam with sea turtles, ate some yummy food and even had a proposal (see next post).
