Senior night for Baseball

Senior Night- I am not sure how we got here so quickly, but we did...

Tuck,

Tonight is senior night. Thankfully it's not your last baseball game, like it is for so many others. I can honestly say I don't regret any sleepless nights, mounds of baseball laundry I've done, or money I've spent over the last 15 years that you have played the sport you love.  I've seen you at your lowest and I've seen you at your highest, I've seen you in a slump and I've seen you on fire, I've seen you make errors and seen you make tons of sliding back hand plays.... I'm pretty sure I've seen it all and  I have loved every second of it. However, the most thing I am proud of is you have always put Jesus first on and off the field and that is evident in your actions.  I see him when you strike out, make an error, how well you take being coached and in how you lead your teammates. Tuck, I pray you continue to use Him as your mentor because He will never steer you wrong. I hope your senior season is extended and we get back to Murfreesboro to finish what we started last year, but boy am I excited to watch you fulfill your dreams when you step out on the baseball field as a college athlete in a few months. I love you and always know I'm forever your #1 fan (besides Gramps). Love ya, Bud!

Love, Mom

Tuck,

Tonight is senior night! I'm not sure where time has gone. Daily I look through Facebook memories and see you as a little boy learning how to love this game that would bring so much joy to you and everyone who loves to watch you play. I remember constantly being stressed  as I tried to make the best decisions on what team for you to play for. I always wanted you on "the best team." Who would have thought that we would have to wait for your senior year to play for the best team??? Number 1 in the state! It truly has been a blessing watching you grow as a player, teammate, and leader. You've learned how to be a man through this sport and have had many great men help you along the way. I'm so thankful that I've gotten to be a small part in this process. You are good, Tucker. Legit one of the best players in the state of Tennessee. There is only one reason you are playing for the #1 team in the state and that is because of you! Every coach you've ever played for has told me you were special, yet I was too busy looking at all your faults. You are special! You have the ability to make those around you better! I know God has something special for you. Something that you don't even believe right now, but He will make it apparent to you in His time. Keep believing in Him and allow Him to take you the whole way. Don't ever stop believing that "you belong" no matter what level you are at. Thank you for taking me along for this ride! I don't apologize for anything I've ever said or done during this journey because my intent was always to make you the player I knew you could be. I love you and I'll always be your biggest fan!

-Dad
