Thousands of dollars later...

Jeremy and I committed to each other to go back to school and receive our Master and EDS degrees. After 3 years of hard work and hours of homework, we FINALLY finished! We received our Educational Specialist Degree(EDS) in Instructional Leadership this May. We are so happy to finally be finished. We were not able to attend graduation because it was Tucker's birthday, however, we (my crazy family) had a mock graduation at our house last night. We can be so crazy sometimes.

Special Service

Sunday, May 16th is a day that I will never forget. It is the day that Jeremy answered God's calling and made it official. Jeremy's deacon ordination service was held last night and it was such a personable service. The current deacons decided that when it came time to lay hands on Jeremy and pray for him that I should be prayed over also. It was a very sweet time and many prayers were said. Jeremy and I are so blessed to have so many Godly people in our lives. We love you all and ask that you continue to remember our family in your prayers as we begin this journey of serving the Lord and our church family.

As we were putting the kids to bed last night we asked them what they were thankful for and Tucker said that his dad is a deacon. Tucker also told us that he almost cried when people were praying over us. He is such a thoughtful kid. Rylee Kate was thankful for Jesus. She did ask if we were sick (since they were laying hands on us). I explained to her that no we were not sick , they were just praying for our family. I am so blessed to have such a Godly husband!
Jeremy,
I want you to know how proud I am of you and the decision you have made to answer God's calling. I know it will not be easy, in fact it is going to be very difficult. Satan was not happy and will be ready to attack you and our family because of this. As your wife, I want you to know I promise to stand by you and pray for you daily. I love you and pray that God will continue to work in our lives and use us the way He sees fit.

One Brave Girl!!!

Rylee Kate seen a little girl in her dance class with her ears pierced and wanted hers. To come to find out International Flair had pierced this little girls and used numbing creme so I agreed to Rylee getting hers done. I was not sure if I could handle it or not so Megan, Kevin, and Doo came along. Of course they were out of the numbing creme, but she insisted it be done anyway even though it was against my will. Megan ended up holding her, Kevin took pictures, Doo watched, and I went outside! I came back in after it was all over and they all bragged on how brave she was(no tears). She received a Brave Girl Certificate and she was so proud of those ears.

I was so proud of my little girl!

Rylee Kate's Dance Recital

Rylee Kate has been taking dance since January. Doo takes her on Monday mornings. I can remember the first month mom would come home saying, "Whew! I am not sure this is for Rylee." You see she has trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time much less dancing. Gramps was always afraid Rylee Kate would end up telling the teacher how to teach the class. However, after this past Saturday we all realized she was quite the little dancer. She knew her whole routine and did WONDERFUL! During her routine, Jeremy was filming and I caught him crying. It was quite sweet watching her perform. We were so proud! Thanks to all her family and friends who attended, Doo, Gramps, Grammy, Papaw, Kevin, Megan, Nini, and Brooke. A special thanks to Megan for fixing her hair.

Tucker's 5th Birthday Party

Tucker celebrated his 5th birthday with a camping theme party. Doo and Gramps were gracious enough to let us have his party there since their home is so fitting. We ate on tin pans and drank out of cans. We decorated with tents, lanterns and camping chairs. We roasted hot dogs over a fire and enjoyed a big cookie, cupcakes and smores for dessert. The party was great and tucker is so blessed to have so many friends and family join him on HIS special day!

Where did the years go?

On May 6th at 8:51 my little boy turned 5. I am not sure where the years have went and I sure wish they would slow down.
Tucker,
Dad and I cannot believe that you are already 5. This birthday has been the hardest on me yet. I guess because I know turning 5 means starting kindergarten- meaning you are growing up on me. I miss that little boy who use to need his mommy. This past year has brought me so much joy- taking you to school in the mornings, seeing you wave at me walking down the hall, your hugs and kisses after I take you to your class, your baseball games, all your pre-k performances and accomplishments, watching you be a big brother- I could go on and on...You are an awesome kid and your dad and I are so blessed to call you our son. We love you so much!
