Special Delivery to Heaven!

My kids never were privileged enough to meet my Nannie John, however, we try to talk about her as often as we can so they will know what a wonderful woman she was. After I had children I realized how much they loved balloons and wanted to keep them floating around the house forever after special occasions. Well, for those of you that know me, know that drives me insane. I finally thought of the idea after a day or two of floating balloons in the house to tell the kids that we are sending the balloons to Nannie in Heaven to let her know we are thinking of her and love her. Believe it or not it works EVERY TIME! I don't even have to mention it to them, they just know that is what we do. Candics took the kids to Chuck E Cheese yesterday and Rylee came home with a balloon so this morning she decided it was time to send it to Nannie so that is just what we did!
Nannie~ Reach your arms out and catch the balloon we just sent you. We love you and miss you so much!

"God will NEVER put more on you than you can handle"

Let me begin by saying THIS IS NOT A JOKE! Rylee has fractured her wrist in 2 places. She was climbing a river bank yesterday afternoon and fell. She cried a little and seemed fine last night. However, this morning was a different story. We headed early this morning to the orthopedic doctor to have Tucker's cast removed and noticed Rylee wouldn't use her hand at all. She said it hurt a little when she twisted but no big deal. Jeremy and I decided we better have her checked because she did not seem to get any better throughout the day. Dr. Rob told us almost immediately that is was broke, but we did x-rays to make sure. He called us back to take a look at the pictures and he said, "Just remember God will never put more on you than you can handle." Jeremy and I suddenly realized that it was not good news. We found out she had a double buckle fracture in her wrist and it would require a cast. Dr.Rob put a temporary cast on it until we go back to the orthopedic Monday. You know it stinks having a child in a cast and the other in a splint, but I am so thankful that what my kids have had to deal with this summer is only temporary. It could be so much worse, but God has taken care of us and we will play the hand we have been dealt and hope we have a chance to use this for the glory of Him.
Oh and did I mention Jeremy has been stopped dipping for almost 3 weeks now and Satan just really knows how to kick you while you are down. DARN HIM!!!!!!!

Our little princess with her temporary cast!

Kiss It Goodbye!

We are so ready to say goodbye to this BIG RED CAST that we have had the luxury having around for the past 5 weeks.

The morning before we left for the removal of Tucker's cast. We had 35 links hanging from the ceiling and Tucker tore one off each morning. This is the last link and he sure is enjoying trashing it.

Well, it wasn't healed quite as well as we had hoped. The doctor has put him in a splint for 2 weeks and then we will have it x-rayed again to make sure he is good to go.

Gymnastics Night

Rylee has been taking gymnastics for about 9 months. She absolutely loves it and seems to be a pretty good gymnast. I love going to watch her every week and seeing all the new things she is learning. Mr. Matt is a great instructor!

History

I am not a big fan of history, but thought the kids would enjoy watching the last shuttle launch on a Hot Summer Day.

It's Independance Day!

Like I said in a previous post this holiday is not quite what it use to be, for our family anyway. It is the day we buried my Nannie 14 years ago. We have a fun time, but it will never be the same. We started the day with the Loudon Parade. The kids rode their Arctic Cats with their cousins and had tons of fun! We headed to Docs for a day of swimming, eating, playing cowboys, and canoeing or kayaking, which ever it is. We ended our night at Nini and Craig swimming some more, playing corn hole and shooting fireworks. What a wonderful 4th of July we had spent with all our family & friends!

Cubs end of the season swim party

The Cubs had a fair season. Even though we didn't win as many as we hoped we sure had fun! I made some baseball cupcakes for the party and didn't even make it to the party due to a County Commission meeting that lasted forever. Oh well here is to my baseball cupcakes!!!

An evening on the river with the ones I love!

We enjoyed an evening out on the river eating snacks, fishing (mostly for sticks), floating, but most of all laughing and enjoying each others company. We had the most wonderful time and I can't wait until we get to do it all over again.

The "THREE" I Love

This is before she wrapped her line around the boat.

Playing with a rope- he had trouble casting with one arm

Lassoing sticks- this is what we did the majority of the evening.

We enjoyed this too.

Tucker took this picture- pretty good huh!

One of the kids took this not sure which one.
