What a weekend!!! The Smoke played in the 2013 USSSA East Tennessee State Championship Tournament this weekend. Tucker has been very torn on whether to give baseball up or to keep playing the rest of the summer. He has really struggled and playing with The Smoke, he is one of the youngest and most inexperienced players. In saying that he has had to adjust ... Adjust from batting at top of line up to batting 10th, playing right field, and just not feeling very confident. Well, after playing this weekend I must say his confidence is back up, he is playing right center, and batting in the middle of the line up. He caught a fly ball and out of 4 games he got on base all but 2 times. He had several RBI's, a double, and got the game ball. Coach David's speech after the game was so sweet and made me so proud to be Tucker's Mom. Most importantly his TEAM brought home the state championship trophy. What a blessed weekend. I am feeling very grateful for Tucker's gift of athletic ability.
